Shipping Policy



Our view on "Free Shipping"


Before we share our shipping policy, let's just deal from the top of the deck with a good measure of honesty. Shipping and packaging costs are neither your problem, nor your care. You're the customer and the price of things shouldn't matter to you.

Notwithstanding those facts, there's no such thing as free shipping -- someone has to pay for it. Instead of pretending that we somehow, automagically, can ship your goods without paying a dime, we simply charge the lowest price possible for the goods you select and compute your shipping costs at the time of purchase. We don't make any money on shipping, we simply build in a reasonable profit for the goods and then pass along the same cost that we get from the shipper. We have lower overhead, so our prices are always competitive. We have to keep our pricing competitive because, well, there's a ton of competition on line and you won't sell anything if you price products too expensively. The cost of shipping your item plus the cost of shipping should end up being relatively close to the cost of our competitors who offer "free shipping". If our cost is higher, please let us know and we'll work hard to earn your business.


Earning Your Business


We achieve repeat business by working hard to deliver a higher level of service to our customers. It's an old fashioned attitude that has gone out of style but we think it's still the best way to conduct business. Our experience is that our customer's initial purchase happens for a number of reasons but they stay for only one reason -- they like the attention that we give to them. If you give us an opportunity to earn your business, we're willing to bet that you'll love the attention you receive and you'll keep coming back to us because we're excited and motivated to serve you.

Oh yeah, back to shipping. The bottom line with shipping is that you pay what we pay. It's as simple as that. If you find it cheaper, please give us the opportunity to earn your business. You'll be happy that you did.


Shipping Times


We ship from the East Coast of the United States so if you're in the continental U.S., you'll find that your purchase will arrive pretty quickly if you're shipping to the East Coast. If you're shipping to the Left Coast, it's going to take longer. It's probably save to assume that based on your location, the following guidelines apply:
  • Eastern Time Zone -- Continental U.S.: 2-3 business days
  • Central Time Zone -- Continental U.S.: 2-4 business days
  • Mountain Time Zone -- Continental U.S.: 3-5 business days
  • Western Time Zone -- Continental U.S.: 4-7 business days

Please keep in mind that this chart is a VERY generic guide line, that's why we send tracking numbers when your order is confirmed. If you didn't receive this e-mail, please check your spam folder (if you had a dime for every e-commerce site that asked you to check the SPAM FOLDER, right?). If it isn't in the spam folder, send an email and we'll give you the tracking number over the phone or e-mail it to you again. Easy breezy.

There are e-commerce sites that pretend that they have items and then they make you wait for something that they don't have in stock. That's not very nice and we don't do it. However, if we mistakenly take an order for an item and it isn't in stock, we won't cancel it before we contact you and receive direction.

Do you know why?

We don't refund your credit card charge until we talk because we don't know whether you want to wait for it. Instead, we will contact you quickly to find out whether you want to wait or you want your money back. If you want your money back, we will refund it.

If you want to wait, we'll make a reasonable guess about an estimated time of arrival (ETA, in military speak). If an item takes longer than we quoted, we will contact you again to explain the reason for the delay. Keep in mind that some of our products come from Europe and Asia and they are shipped via container. Sometimes, the distributor and importer give us inaccurate information and we pass it along to you. When these things happen, we hate that they happen to our customers and we always appreciate your patience. We understand that you might be frustrated, but it's the nature of selling the luxury goods that we offer and unfortunately, it comes with the territory. Again, we try our best to avoid this outcome but things happen beyond our control and we can only do our best to mitigate them.
