When Schott Zwiesel created the internationally patented Tritan® glass manufacturing process, the introduction of this technology sent shockwaves through the wine glass manufacturing community. In the last few years, the premier glass studios have come up with new mixes of materials and innovative manufacturing processes to impart surprising qualities to glass. The truth of the matter is that the Tritan glasses are terrific every day glasses and they are dishwasher "safe". They are breakable so you should have care when cleaning and storing them but they should survive for years if you're relatively careful.
