Once we have full confidence in the way that a stem functions, we make sure that the design of the stem is functional. We consider whether the stem gathers bouquets properly. We also consider how the glass is shaped and how it affects the trajectory of the beverage that is leaving the glass (and yes, strangely enough, it does make a difference). We look at the carbon footprint that our stems glass will have on the environment after it is used and as it is manufactured(this is one of the reasons that we avoid lead crystal stemware whenever possible).
